How to Set Up Your Campus France Account for the Visa Process

For students applying to study in France from one of the 60+ countries under the "Etudes en France" (EEF) procedure, the Campus France account is the gateway to your visa. The French consulate will not process a student visa application unless it is accompanied by a validation certificate from Campus France.

In this guide, we review the steps to register, upload files, and pass the Campus France interview.

Step 1: Register on the Etudes en France (EEF) Portal

Go to the official EEF portal for your country.

  1. Create an account and select the "I am accepted" (Je suis accepté) tab (if you already have an admission letter from a French institution).
  2. Upload your university acceptance letter (Lettre d'acceptation).

Step 2: Upload Your Academic Files

You must upload high-quality color scans of all educational records:

  • Valid passport page.
  • 10th and 12th school passing certificates.
  • All university transcripts and degree/provisional certificates.
  • Curriculum Vitae (CV) and language test scores (IELTS/TOEFL for English courses, or DELF/DALF for French courses).

Step 3: Attend the Campus France Interview

After the Campus France team verifies your online files, you must book a personal interview slot.

  • The format: The interview is typically conducted in person at your local Campus France office (or online in select regions) by a Campus France academic advisor.
  • The objective: The advisor will verify your original documents and evaluate your academic motivations, language skills, and career plans.

Common Campus France Interview Questions:

  • Why did you select France instead of your home country?
  • What specific courses are included in your program curriculum?
  • How does this degree align with your career goals?

Step 4: Pay the Processing Fee

Pay the required Campus France registration fee (e.g., INR 17,500 in India). Once the interview is complete, the advisor will validate your file and release the Attestation needed to book your VFS Global visa appointment.
